Tanzania is internationally known for an exceptional diversity of coloured gemstones. Our objective is to develop a gemstone business built around responsible sourcing, accurate identification, professional grading, value addition and access to serious international buyers.

• Sapphire. Valued internationally in blue and numerous fancy colours.
• Tsavorite and other garnets. East Africa is internationally recognised for attractive varieties of garnet, making this an important category for exploration and gemstone trading.
• Tourmaline. A highly diverse gemstone occurring in numerous commercially attractive colours.
• Spinel. Increasingly recognised internationally as an important fine gemstone.
• Emerald and beryl. Important members of the beryl mineral family with established international jewellery markets.
• Zircon. A natural gemstone valued particularly for its brilliance and variety of colours.
• Chrysoberyl. An important gemstone family that can include valuable gem-quality material.
